Welcome to the MA furs tech channel! These rules are in a text file because Lyude is too lazy to setup her web server. Tl;dr, the rules are the same here as the ones in the MA furs channel with some minor additions: Be considerate of others * No NSFW imagery, MA furs has a dedicated channel for that anyway * Begin with assuming good faith. * We have an opportunity to be excellent to each other through our actions. * Be respectful of others and treat them as you'd like to be treated yourself. Be considerate of our shared resources * Avoid behaviour that doesn't help constructively continue conversations. * Feigned surprise. When someone says "I don't know what X is", you don't say "You don't know what X is?!" or "I can't believe you don't know what X is!". * Fan-boyism that doesn't acknowledge individual's decisions for selecting one product/operating system/programming language over another. * Trolling by posting content with the intention to provoke a reaction. * Understand some of our members cannot interact with leaked materials. * Be mindful of sharing information that is not freely available to the general public. This includes material published on websites like https://wikileaks.org/ * Allow individuals to decide what's right for them to see by providing the relevant context. * You must tag links leaked content and not directly post source code, diagrams, or other development resources that could be relevant to active products. * It is generally okay to broadly discuss the contents of a leak or to discuss leaked early builds/cancelled projects. Be considerate of yourself * Recognise when you're not able to effectively participate in a discussion. * We pretend to be animal people on the internet, but we are all human here. We make mistakes, we have bad days, and we get emotional. * Allow yourself to step away from your computer/phone and let cooler heads prevail. * It's okay to not know something. * None of us were born with the knowledge we have today. * We are here to learn from each other and further develop ourselves as individuals. * Use a search engine first before asking questions, but don't be afraid to ask if you need help. * Understand people might be busy or may not immediately see your question. Who to contact * Currently @Lyude is the moderator of this channel! More may be added in the future.
